Post has 1 notes.

Reciprocation’s a hell of an idea!

I want to take a quick look back on what has happened for me in the last three months.  These past few months have been some of the busiest and most beneficial for myself as a person and in business.

Let’s take a step back…

It was Friday, January 15th that I packed up my stuff in my comfy marketing position in downtown San Diego and kissed my day job goodbye.  As you can tell I was super nervous, yet I knew I had confidence I’d make it online because of my experience, massive support from friends online and my wife, Heather.  When I quit I didn’t have a bunch of money coming in.  I just had a bit saved up and the know-how to hit the road running quick, all along with my back against the wall.

Have you ever felt this way in life?

With three months as a full-time online entrepreneur I still feel like my back’s against the wall.  As these three months have been some of the most stressful and scary times in my life, they’ve also been the most beneficial.

The first thing that separates me from the thousands (maybe millions?) of people wanting (hoping) to make money online are two simple words: “taking action”.

We’ve all heard this before, but now that I’m ONLY focused on online marketing and trying to make a steady income for myself, I have no choice but to take action and follow through with plans.

Many people online struggle to take action because of the influx of emails and shiny new products that come out everyday.  Sure, I’ve been there before.  But until someone focuses and puts ALL of their effort into something, they’ll NEVER be successful online.

This was a tough cookie for me to crack, as I was scattered as hell when I was starting out.  I think everyone goes through this.

What really gave me the confidence and unwavering desire to make it full-time online was that I was focused on giving people value.  I was teaching everything I learned through videos, blogging, within my mailing list, etc.

This isn’t the “sexy” and quick way to make money online, but it was a steady progression skyward.  Just like any other business out there… baby steps.

Now that it’s three months later (where the hell did the time go?!) I’m still trying to give as much value away as possible.  There’s no other way to go about it.

That’s the mantra that goes through my head everyday and I think you should repeat that to yourself, as well.  You’ll always get more in the long-run if you give great stuff to people now.

Reciprocation is a very powerful concept.  Live it!
